Hamari Adhuri Kahani, starring Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi, is one of the most awaited films of the year.
SpotboyE.com has exclusively learnt that Vidya wasn’t director Mohit Suris first choice for the role of Vasudha. Turns out, the director wanted his Aashiqui 2 girl Shraddha Kapoor.
But it was Mahesh Bhatt who was instrumental in getting the Kahaani actress on board. Vidya had always expressed her desire to work with Bhatt as she has always been a big fan of Arth.
A source on the condition of anonymity, said, “Bhatt saab, who wrote the script, thought Vidya fit the bill. Plus, he had already given his word to the actress. When Mohit expressed his intention to cast Shraddha, Bhatt saab put his foot down that no one else but Vidya will be the leading lady.”
